Well, would you look at that. Our first official look at Apex Legends’ Season 17 character has appeared and it was leaked by none-other than Respawn Entertaiment itself on the official Apex Legends Blog post detailing the upcoming Veiled Collection Event. Oh dear, oh dear – what a blunder!
Captured by eagle-eyed Apex Legends fans like leaker ‘Garret‘, it looks like Respawn Entertainment initially uploaded its’ Veiled Collection Event Apex Legends Blog post – which you can read for yourself here – with key artwork relating to Season 17 and the new character we’re going to be met with. Now, though, it features the key artwork for Apex Legends’ Revelry season.
As you can see for yourself below, it seems pretty nailed on that Ballistic is going to be joining the Apex Games when the Apex Legends Season 17 release date rolls around. In the image below, you can see that Balistic is rocking Titanfall’s Smart Pistol MK5. He isn’t Kuben Blisk, but he’s still a legend of the game. So, yes, that also means that the theory that Apex Legends’ Season 17 character might go by their leaked name after all is wrong.
However, let’s not focus on what’s wrong, but on what’s right – and that’s the fact that Ballistic is coming to Apex Legends Season 17 and he’s going to be a badass. Just look at the action shot Apex Legends’ artists have offered us.
Sitting there wondering what this guy can do? Well, notable Apex Legends leaker Thordan Smash has a whole video out and available on Ballistic’s lore – well, what we know about it so far -and abilities. These leaked abilties include Weapon Sling (which will allow you to carry a third primary weapon), Smart Bullet (which will let you debuff enemies with a homing projectile), and Weapon Enhancer (something that offers infinite ammo, and faster reloads).
If you want to know what all that is going to look like, you can see for yourself below. Just, take it with a pinch of salt – even though it seems very likely, we don’t know for certain what abilities Ballistic is going to offer up.
So, looking at that, do you think Ballistic is going to clamber his way up to the top of our Apex Legends tier list as soon as he drops? It does sound like he might stand a chance of doing that, but we’ll have to wait and see. Either way, though, he certainly does look like a legend that will help you climb Apex Legends’ ranks.
Apex Legends is one of the best competitive FPS games out there, and Respawn Entertainment is making sure to keep this game ticking along with new content beyond the introduction of new legends – as exciting as that is. Apex Legends’ new Collection Event is adding an LTM akin to MW2’s hardcore mode and there’s always new cosmetics to look forward to. We can only imagine that there’s a lot more Apex Legends down the line, so don’t worry too much if you’re not fussed about Ballistic.
